Thanks to you, we’ve expanded our roots — and the number of survivors impacted every year has almost doubled.
We’ve completed our campaign. Thank you for supporting our work of renewal and hope.
When we first publicly announced our Roots of Renewal Campaign in January of 2025, we packed a lot of purpose into it. We had a vision for a new transitional living facility, expanded shelter capacity, and the back-end financial security to run these programs for years to come. We expected our campaign to last 24 months, stretching our reach and our donor capacity to an area that was uncomfortable for our team. The results astounded us.
We received our final gift a little over a year after announcing the campaign, and the results of our amazing supporters' work speak for themselves:
Our new transitional living facility, the Ridge, offers a next step for survivors to build life skills and thrive. This program opened in June of 2025.
We’ve moved our administrative staff out of our shelter to make more space for guests — 20-30 new beds by May 1, 2026.
With more space, our non-residential services program has experienced huge growth — 45% more clients in 2025.
We couldn’t have achieved this without the incredible generosity of so many organizations, foundations, and individuals. Thank you for supporting this life-changing work for survivors in Oklahoma and beyond!
A Next Step for Survivors
The first and biggest item on our Roots of Renewal checklist was the acquisition of The Ridge, the property that houses the new transitional living program. We acquired three acres of land minutes from downtown Tulsa, with 12 cabins for individuals or families who have come out of crisis seeking longer-term healing and care. In addition to the property purchase, minor aesthetic work was done on the main lodge, and a few renovations were made to make each cabin self-sustaining.
We opened the program in mid-2025, but we’re already seeing this new service model begin to pay dividends for our residents. We’ve had three transitional living residents find long-term, stable housing since we started, and we’re incredibly proud of the work being done at The Ridge to create a supportive environment that fosters independence and confidence.
Expanding the Crisis Shelter
Over the course of several years, we’ve been reworking our shelter space to maximize the benefits to our guests. In the Roots of Renewal campaign, we included several new facilities — a counseling room, a revamped donation center, and an enhanced program staff office space. But the biggest change is the complete renovation of our east wing, providing space for 20-25 more beds in our facility.
This is a massive, 30% addition to our overall capacity, and instantly makes us one of the largest shelters in Oklahoma serving HT and DV clients.
Renovations are mostly complete, and we plan to open these new rooms in a matter of weeks.
To make room for these new beds, we moved our administrative staff out of the shelter in November of 2025. We’ll have more information about a long-term office solution in the coming weeks!
Maintenance and Operating
Our team desired to begin these new programs and initiatives on a solid financial footing, so we built maintenance and operating expenses into the Roots of Renewal campaign. These operational costs helped us to stabilize and strengthen program delivery.
